Back to the grind
Ok, so I took some time off the blog. Well it's for a good reason. Been focusing on work and dieting. Which is, if I can say, going very well. Work is going OK but dieting has been great. You need to go to maximumfitnessconsulting.com if you get a chance. She knows what she is doing and they now have a new food calculator so I you get bored with what you are eating you can enter what you are craving and it will calculate how much you can have and what else you need. It's AWESOME. The Qivana supplements are working as well. The Essentials is a great boost of energy during the day and tastes great and the probiotics are helping me recover faster. At least that's what I'm feeling. This month I get the detox so i'm looking forward to a cleanse and more work in the gym, I have started my arm specialization routine now and looking to put on 2 inches in the next 6-8 weeks on my arms. BRING IT. I'm already so sore i can barely lift my 3 year old. Ok i'll stay updated more as days go by.

The new Powerpoint for QIvana
This is a short blog since I'm working on several things at the same time right now. Hopefully I can get this powerpoint presentation to attach so you can see what I'm going to be spending my extra time doing in the next couple of months.
This is the new information on the Qivana opportunity I have been talking about, and I have had a chance to use the essentials that are part of the first system and I have to say they are awesome. Looking forward to the probiotics and seeing how well they work in tandem.
Get in touch with me if you want more info or have questions.

Some interesting herbs - I had to check on

I have been doing some looking into a few herbs that are part of a supplement I am going to be taking in about 4 weeks. I found a few interesting facts that I have a feeling will help with my weight lifting and a goal I recently set to get back to a level of body fat that I had when I was 24. Yep, 12 years, 2 business' and 2 children ago. Here is what I found:
Crown Herb: Known as the Chinese herb jiaogulan its originally, found in southern China, Southern Korea and Japan. Here are quite a few interesting facts about this:
- Documented use all the way back to 1406 in Chinese Medicine books
- Can be taken in a tea, or pill form - my favorite
- Helps Insomnia
- Improve blood pressure
- Also known as "the immortality herb" because the people from the area on China where it is found naturally, are known to live a LONG TIME
- non-toxic in normal doses
- A rich source of anti-oxidants
- Improves Circulation
- Stimulates liver function - Strengthens immune system
- Is considered a powerful adaptogen - helps body regulate itself
- Studies have show this herb enhanced resistance against the effects of excessive exercise - which is specifically good for what I am trying not to do. Overtrain!
Chinese Skullcap: So you can do the research for you self if you need to - I did - obviously, the scientific name for this type is Scutellaria Baicalensis. There are around 300 types of skullcap so make sure you are looking for Chinese Skullcap. I found out there is a type called "Mad Dog" by native American Indians that was used to treat rabies - I don't need that - despite what my friends say. Here is a list of some benefits of this herb: (I got this from one of my Dad's Chinese medicine text books) which stated "Long history of use, herbalists’ observations, and recently conducted laboratory studies on animals support the claims that Scutellaria baicalensis helps fight, lessen, or prevent such diseases as":
- cancer (the plant keeps leukaemia-derived T-cells of the human immune system in the dormant state and inhibits cancer-causing effects of fungal toxins)
- chronic fatigue syndrome (zinc found in the plant helps prevent this disease)
- anxiety and stress (Scullcap blocks overproduction of stress hormone, which is also helpful for managing headaches)
- headache and hangover (the herb prevents the inflammation of the brain cells caused by histamine release in response to high levels of alcohol in blood)
- allergies and asthma (herb’s baicalin controls hormonal reactions and histamine release upon exposure to allergy triggers)
- influenza, pneumonia, and ear infections (the process of replication and multiplying of the viruses, bacteria, and fungi is blocked by Scutellaria; it is most effective against Candida, Streptococcus group, Staphylococcus, and others)
- diabetes and atherosclerosis (bacterial infection, often linked to the development of atherosclerosis, in reduced by Scutellaria, as well as swelling of the arteries linings due to injuries)
- heart attack (the risk of heart attack is significantly reduced due to Scullcap’s cholesterol-lowering effect)
- hypertension (diuretic ability of Scutellaria helps lower blood pressure and dilate blood vessels)
- high cholesterol (the stimulation of the gallbladder to produce more bile results in “washing” cholesterol off the liver into the intestines and out of the body)
- periodontal disease (Sutellaria increases the production of collagen in the gums, which helps reverse gingivitis and prevent periodontal disease)
OK that covers some biggies pulse the ones I need covered like fatigue, stress and headache. If I get the benefits of the others Great.
The last one is probably known by most. Korean Ginseng (Panax ginseng) Known for over 7000 years to have medicinal effects. Used because it is an adaptogen which helps the system to adapt to physical, chemical or biological stress. Here is what is known about Ginseng
- Energizing effect
- Antioxidant
- Stimulant for libido
- Cardiovascular activity
- Hematopoietic Affect - didn't know what this was but has to do with bone marrow cells
- Anti-inflammatory
- Neurostimulant
- Increases testosterone
There were quite a few others but I didn't want to get into the parts I would to have start a premed degree to truly understand. I knew about the Energy and the stimulant, but then again, who didn't, now what I didn't know was the anti-inflammatory and increased testosterone. A bonus for me.
So the reason for these specific three is the nutrition system I will be taking includes these three combined. If you listened to the audio from the Dr. Leux interview you can hear his excitement about this. Unfortunately it's my nature and I don't trust everything I hear so I had to look into it. I have always been a skeptic, even when the experts talk.
Next blog I'll update you on how the business part of this is going. I'm gonna document this all the way thru including what I'm trying to promote the business as well as the products. Hey, I did get the magnetic ads for my car.

An easy way to understand Probiotics and how to get them where they will work
OK, there is a lot of information on the web about Probiotics. I didn't know there were Pre-biotics, and I'm wondering if there are post-biotics, of course we all know about anti-biotics. ........uh, Sorry, small tangent there.
Here is a basic definition of Pro-Biotic: A probiotic is also referred to as the "friendly", "beneficial", or "good" bacteria which when ingested acts to maintain a healthy intestinal tract and help fight illness and disease.
OK I have been reading about these little bugs that we host in our guts (intestines) and didn't realize I have been a very bad landlord. Let me tell you why. Two of the most damaging substances to the delicate intestinal flora balance (my gut bugs) are chlorine and sodium fluoride, and if these sound familiar they are in almost all treated city water. I know, you drink bottled water!!! SO DO I, but I also get sweet tea, Diet Coke, Lemonade from ChickFilA, all of which have ICE in them, you guessed it, made from city drinking water. Lets not discuss the amount of ice water in the cocktail drinks I have when out on a date with my wife or drinking with the guys.
Which leads me to the next little destroyer of my Gut Bugs. The drinking of alcoholic beverages also contributes to the destruction of them. Here are a few more that you may realize you use: medical antibiotics, birth control pills and many other allopathic drugs. Worst of all for me is Coffee, I have to have mine everyday or it's bad news. Well it's always bad news for the good bacteria in your gut.
So when you start destroying good bacteria and allowing undesirable bacteria to multiply the trouble starts. When the ratio of good bacteria to bad is lowered, problems begin to arise such as excessive gas, bloating, constipation, intestinal toxicity and poor absorption of nutrients. According to some of the reports I read when you lower the ratio enough you create an environment that allow nasty bugs all the way up to cancerous one to grow. NOT GOOD.
So, I'm now committed to eating foods that will increase the growth of my good bugs in my gut. Another Problem. One: I'm not a gardener, this would mean taking Pre-biotics (enhance the growth of already existing good bugs) Two: while it is true that certain foods - especially live yogurt, Japanese Miso, Tempeh and some cheeses have a probiotic action in the gut, you can never be sure what strain of bacteria you are eating or exactly how much is contained in these foods. And there is no way of knowing just how many of those replacement bacteria are going to survive and make it all the way through the acidic and bug-killing environment of the stomach. AH HA! Always one more problem to deal with :-(
So you see I have enough on my plate to change my meal plan to get in the right type of food for this, plus enough protein for my workouts, AND now I have a bully(Stomach) tearing up everything I do for my bugs.
Solution: A pill. I love this type of solution, and I don't mean to be immature about describing this stuff but after reading words like "Strains of the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, putrefactive (proteolytic) microbes or the ability to bind with hetercyclic amines, which are carcinogenic substances which took me hours to figure out which were good or bad. I thougt what the hell, someone needs to describe it with some color.
So you take a pill and all is well. Sort of. Back to that bully, your stomach. Well if you take a Pro-biotic that doesn't have an acid proof coating, well you get very little of what the bugs in your gut can use. Here we go again $ down the toilet - literally. There are products that provide Pro-biotics with an acid protective coating. So when you decide to "help your bugs help you" you need to go with a pro-biotic that is coated.
This is a link to a product overview pdf with a specially formulated coating of pro-biotics that provides live bacteria to your gut to help you see all the benefits pro-biotics provide.

If you are interested in the three products you see or think owning a business that promotes these products with a multi - level compensation plan is of interest please email me for a follow up call. Or you can check out my website.

As Promised - The interview with Dr. Laux

Well technology is pretty nasty when you try to recreate how it works. So I was up all last night trying to figure out how to get the audio on the blog. Every once in a while you should just ask for help. Well I finally caved in and hit the help tab. Humbling let me tell you. 3 steps and now you can hear the interview with the Qivana Chief Marketing Officer, Craig Johanson linked on my last blog.
Well since it has taken me so long to figure out how to get the audio on the blog they have the audio ready from last nights interview with the man responsible for all of this, Dr. Laux. This is an amazing interview and he really goes into why these products will be the future. John Terhune also does a great job on describing the comp plan for those of you that are also interested in the ownership side of this product.
Once again, when you are finished listening to the interview and comp discussion if you are interested in looking at the product spec, the company overview or any of the materials Qivana has put together to help make it's Independant Business Owners successful just click on the title of this blog and it will take you to my company page. If this all excites you to action email me before you reserve your spot so I can help walk you thru the process to get you started in my social network and help you set up all the web network tools I have used. With more of us doing this the faster we grow our down line and the bigger the compensation checks will be, sooner.
My next blog will go into the Qore Essentials product of the Supplement System Qivana will be shipping at the end of April.
